Just wanting to let everyone know Next Level will be chasing game fish at Waihau Bay for the first half of March. We have been fishing Waihau Bay for the last 15 years with one of the main attractions being the fact that the continental shelf is situated so close to land therefore it is literally a 10 minute steam from the boat ramp to the fishing grounds.
At this time of the year, the weather is very settled and it is not uncommon to be out fishing every day you are there. Although towing lures isn’t for everybody, when I am there, it seems that no two days are ever the same and there is always the option of live baiting or going a bit wider and dropping for a swordfish.
